Our country is in shock today at the sight of death in New York City as two hijacked passenger jets are crashed into each of the World Trade Towers. The loss of life is unimaginable as smoke and flames fill the sky over our greatest city. Our country is now essentially at war. People who have never cried out to God are doing so today. This is without question the worst tragedy our country has had to endure. Everybody knows somebody in New York City. It is also reported that a passenger jet has crashed into the Pentagon, another has crashed in west Pennsylvania. All flights have been grounded throughout the country. It appears that the fanatic Osam bin Laden is reponsible for this. Nobody else has the desire or money or influence to make something like this happen. He thinks he knows God. He doesn't know God. The only people who can know God are those who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and invite him into their hearts and lives.

This tragedy affects the whole world, not just America. As I write this I'm watching live coverage of Palestinian muslims in Israel celebrating, honking horns, throwing candy to children, smiling, reveling in the tragedy that has befallen our country today. Needless to say, Osama bin Laden is a dead man walking, but I'm sure he knows that. I hope he is scared, really scared. The governments of the world's leading countries will come together to hunt Osama bin Laden down. I'm concerned that there will be an pronounced increase of so-called 'hate crimes' against muslims in America, most of whom have no sympathy for the fanatical terrorists from the Middle East. I hope that the message is loud and clear that most Americans are above this type of prejudice, but that we will not tolerate an attack against our national sovereignty.

Nobody will ever know how many people have died today, it could be between 50,000 and 100,000. Its been during times of crisis that our country has come together. Its during times of crisis that people call out to our Lord God Jesus Christ most often. And he hears.

Today at sundown, Rosh Hoshana begins in Israel. Rosh Hoshana marks the Jewish new year 5762 and is also known as the Biblical 'Feast of Trumpets' beginning Ten Days of Penitence, culminating in Yom Kippur. The Feast of Trumpets is also symbolic of the rapture. The many tragedies which the world has experienced in recent days and years reflect the acceleration of Biblical prophesy during the same generation which has seen the rebirth of Israel and Jerusalem as clearly prophesied in the Holy Bible. Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel and the world is coming soon.

Prime Minister Tony Blair gave warning yesterday of nuclear strikes from the next generation of terrorists as he made plain that the war against terrorism could be extended to the states that harboured them.
The Prime Minister and Jack Straw, the Foreign Secretary, said that the world would be laying itself open to biological, chemical and nuclear attack if it failed to counter the menace of terrorism now... In a clear warning to countries such as Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, he said that those who harboured or helped terrorists had a choice: either they could cease their protection of the West’s enemies, or they would be treated as an enemy themselves.

God Bless America. One Nation, Under God, Indivisble, with Liberty and Justice for All.
Thank God for our many freedoms. Especially the freedom of religion. We are all free to choose our own faith and I would prefer it no other way. While I unabashedly state that there is only one true God, the God whose chosen people are the Jews, the God who sent his one and only son to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, I harbor no hate for those who practice other faiths, only hope, that they will hear the gospel one day and accept it. God wishes that no man perish, not one muslim, buddhist, sikh, hindu, jew, christian or even atheist. God our father offered his son as a living sacrifice for our sins, all our sins, "that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". We can worship any god we wish, but we can have a personal relationship with only one, through Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile, the Senate passed a resolution authorizing the president to use force to retaliate against the terrorist attacks. The vote was 98-0.

JERUSALEM –– About 1,500 Palestinians, many supporters of the Islamic militant group Hamas, marched in a Gaza Strip refugee camp on Friday, burning Israeli flags and carrying a large poster of Osama bin Laden, who has been named as a key suspect in this week's terror attacks in the United States.

After the rally, plainclothes Palestinian policemen questioned several journalists, including staffers of foreign news agencies, and confiscated videotape and film as well as camera equipment. An Associated Press Television News video was among the materials taken, and an AP photographer was warned by officials not to publish pictures of the bin-Laden poster.

There are no passenger jets in the skies. In Los Angeles this is particularly unusual, as Los Angeles International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. The expressions on peoples faces today are solemn, serious, angry, and even vigilant.
