| The Sinner's Prayer
If you don't know the Lord Jesus Christ, now it the time to ask
Him into your life. All you need to do is repent of your sins, commit
to following Him and simply ask Him into your life. If you pray
this prayer, please let us know, so that
we may pray with and for you as you begin your walk with the Lord.
The basis of the sinner's prayer comes from Romans 10:9-10.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
There are a variety of 'sinner's prayers', all of which say in
the simplest terms,
-
"God, I know that I am a sinner."
-
"God, I know that the wages of sin is death."
-
"God, I have no power over my sin."
-
"God, I turn away from my sin,"
-
"God, I ask your son, Jesus Christ, to come into my life and
forgive me."
-
"Come into my life Lord Jesus."
-
"Thank you God for the gift of eternal life. Amen."
"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything
old has passed away; see, everything has become new!"
2 Corinthians 5:17 NRSV
Lord, I am a sinner! Lord, I ask you to forgive me of my sins.
Lord, I invite you to take residence in my heart. Lord, I believe
You came to earth and died for ALL MY SINS! Please take charge of
my life. Thank You for dying on the cross for me. In Jesus’s holy
name. Amen
Jesus answered,
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me. John 4:6
The bible says, If you confess with your mouth and mean it in your
heart, that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.
Romans 10: 9-13
First, confess. The Bible says, "If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from
all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9, NIV).
Second, repent. Turn from sin to God. Jesus said, "The Kingdom of
God is near. Repent and believe in the good news" (Mark 1:15, NIV).
Third, believe. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved"
(Acts 16:31, NIV).
Fourth, receive. Again God said, "To all who received him [Christ],
to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children
of God" (John 1:12, NIV).
And His Word, the Bible, says, "And this is the testimony: God has
given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the
Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have
life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the
Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life" (I John
5:11-13, NIV).
Sinner's Prayer
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge
to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life
that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious
blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now
willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord
our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the
dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart,
I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment
I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to
His Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from
my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license,
but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform
my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not
to myself.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
Once a person becomes a Christian, the most important thing is
to learn God's word,
the Bible. There are several basic doctrines that are essential
in order for the new believer to come to an understanding of the
new quality of life he has entered. Without a basic orientation
to the Christian way of life and the wonderful provisions God has
given us in order to live above the powerful pull of our sin nature,
the new believer will very quickly fall back into to old habits
and character flaws and will not be able to experience the promise.
